A well focused book for teaching science in the primary school. This book includes only the very necessary teacehr information, in most basic terms. The suggested investigations include realistic aims and usually (though not always) make use of resources found in almost every classroom. Suggestions for 'home-made' resources are also very useful for schools on strict budgets (for example force-meter). A few worksheets have been included at the back, which can be photocopied. Some worksheets could be adapted to many differnet science lessons, while others are more specific. A very useful proforma for designing an investigation is included. This would help children to devlop independent thinking skills. Generally a very worthwhile purchase, covering almost all common topics at KS2 science, with only few pages which may never be used.
