A 'must have' resource for NVQ Aministraton Level 3 students

This is a definitive resource, not only for NVQ students but also for their advisers and assessors.

I recommend it to my students as their 'best friend' when an adviser or assessor is not immediately available to answer queries. It is written around the standards and is invaluable in de-mystifying NVQ language, providing excellent examples which make the subject matter understandable and real.

As an adviser and assessor I have found it useful in giving me some extra ideas and alternative approaches.

I found this is very useful and easy to understand

It is full of useful information that will help you with any tasks given at college . It explains each unit in detail and covers all criteria that needs to be covered, gives useful tips that will help you at work and hints of types of evidence you could use. It includes self tests that test your knowledge and what you have learned. If you are studying for your NVQ in administration Level 2 buy this book! I must add that I was very impressed with amazon for delivering this book quickly and in perfect condition.

Poor

I needed a book to help me through my secretarial course work. I didn't find this book helped me at all. I did pass - and gave the book to my local Christian Aid shop. I think it should be more practical. I don't think the writer ever worked in an Administration office. It just is not true to life.

Used at school, now used at work

When I did my NVQ at school, I used this book and found it really useful. I know co-ordinate Admin and tell my students to use it. Its clear, concise and easy to read. Which is helpful, as all students understand it, no matter what intelligence level they are.

Does not include ALL the optional units

This book presented me with a lot of additional help, although when I choose my optional unit I was dismayed to find that this book didn't include it.
