A very detailed and easy to understand book that is well written and breaks down the course modules in to easy to understand bite size pieces. Diagrams are clear and informative and include up to date information. Throughout the book their are inspirational ideas for observations and activities to carry out with children of various ages. To help with revision, at the end of each module you will find a review page with questions and summary complete with helpful hints and advice. The book is suitable for any person working with children up to the ages of eight years old. It also includes a section on dealing with children who have special educational needs and ensuring that the curriculum guidelines are met for each individual child. From my experience of using this particular book it was value for money allowed me to come to my own conclusions about the development of children of all ages.The book can be used both by students and professionals in planning and implementing practical and useful advice as well as simple ideas.
