Odd criticism

I'm puzzled by the previous reviewer's concerns. The God of classical theism IS personal and makes himself known as three persons in ONE, so what's the problem? More specifically, her concerns regarding the religion and media unit are quite unfounded. My students have submitted coursework for this unit on ethical issues raised in Gattaca and Priest and have been resoundingly successful. This is an excellent text book, but even better are the new Philip Allan Updates text books by the same authors - glossy and colourful, but full of substantial text, infinitely better than the Vic Watton offerings. Religion and Life AND Religion and SOciety avaiable as two superb text books ideal as class sets and as teacher guides.

With the market littered with dumbed down GCSE RS materials, this is a welcome newcomer to the scene. Written by respected and experienced authors, the Heienemann Revise GCSE Religion and LIfe for Edexcel targets the specificaiton in a sophisticated and enagaging manner. When compared with the current market leader - Hodder and Stoughton's books by Vic Watton - it wins hands down. A real winner. Get your class sets now!
