JK tried to get this book banned for plagiarism. I think we should respect her wishes and not buy it after all shes given us. If you respect JK do not buy it.

After a few unexpected months of withdrawal upon entering university here in brussels - I found this book. I'm up in the hills and feel a bit like Harry - scared and wide-eyed. Granted, the book is a bit simplistic for my taste but the map that comes with it is worth more than the price of the set. I've put it on my wall and you should too. Virginia Allyn (wherever you are) keep it up!!! I want more!!!

Very Interesting Title

This book really goes in seriously and deeply into the first four Harry Potter books. With references all over, you'll find yourself saying 'I didn't know that'. It shows that the author J Rowling (although the information in this book is not approved by her) really put her mind to naming characters and their roles. A very interesting read for all Harry Potter fans.

Having seen many books based around the Harry Potter series, I was tempted to buy this one, and can say I am amazed at the information I learnt in it! It's extremely easy reading, yet you can learn things about the history behind some of JK Rowling's character names, or some of the spells. Especially interesting is the section on 'Padfoot' and how the black dog is known under different names in folklore depending on which part of the country you're in! Definitely a worth-while purchase while you're waiting for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to be released in the summer!

Very good, but it just wasn't what I expected. I thought that it was going to be more of a book then a poster, but there is a book which goes very well with the map. I think this is aimed more at younger fans who are starting to get interested in the background to Harry Potter. It is very colourful and sweet, but if you are wanting a more in-depth look in to where Harry Potter came from, the myths and ledgends perhaps another book would be better.
