If a book calls itself colloquial it should in fact deal with colloquial Hindi. This is a basic primer and not a brilliant one at that. The write up that says it will help with Bollywood is also off the mark, having watched Zee TV and a variety of Bollywood films over Easter it has not helped in the least.

This book ...is excellent for both complete beginners and also those who simply wish to brush up on their Hindi. It is very thorough, yet surprisingly easy to understand... All in all, an excellent all-round introduction to Hindi. Buy now, and Bollywood films will become a whole lot clearer!!
