As a feminist, attempting to find some suitable erotica can be tricky and I definitely was not impressed with what I found in Madore's book. It's not for me - most of the stories involved what I would call abuse and I did not find it erotic at all.

Ghastly - don't buy it .

I expected to enjoy reading this at bedtime to the wife , but it's truly awful . It's archane & verbose but by far the worst thing is that too many of the stories detail goblins taking advantage of maidens . Which just could have been funny but it's too pompous for real fun . So who's it written for? Well paedophiles might enjoy it .

This really is a fabulous book for women. There is never any description of pert breaste or tiny waists and there must be something for everyone, Im searching for more of this type of book

A good assortment

Nancy Madore's Enchanted is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get next. Each and every story took me by surprise and I loved them all. A few of them are a little out there, its true, but some of us like that. After all, these are fantasies, as Madore explains in her introduction. I liked the way these were written. I felt the integrity of the fairy tale remained intact in the translation. I recognized every character and thought it was very clever the way the sexual parts were worked into it. I think even the Brothers Grimm would have been pleased.

This book is like a draft of a book: make saucy tales for women who've taken a women's studies course, strip the stories of all shadow, depth and forsake basic storytelling skills. Go from an unerotic sex scene to some clunky exposition of feminist theory. AWFUL! What a turn-off.
