Surprisingly good

I just got this because I started to rewatch the DVDs and am missing the show. I've read all of Collin's Dark Angel books and enjoyed them. This Dossier is surprisingly good. Firstly it's not a novel but tells the story through a series of primary sources (newspapers, transcripts, photos etc.) but it works really well. You follow the story and everything falls into place.
It's also a great way to understand what Eyes Only really did behind the scenes as the story isn't focused on Max. The 'Phoenix Program' chapter is especially good for understanding the purpose behind Project Manticore. The TV shows only hint at the types of missions they go on, but The Phoenix program really puts everything into place. It's actually a good simile to the Bush administrations National Security Doctrine which, to quote Chomsky "stated, in effect, that the United States (the administration at least) plans to dominate the world permanently, through the use of force if necessary-that's the one dimension in which the United States reigns supreme."
The reason why the book dropped a star was because of the price and lack of colour within the book. The front cover art work is beautiful, it's a shame the inside wasn't also in colour or spiral bounded. That would have been a great effect for the type of book this is.

What you didn't know.

This is a really well set out book, with chunks of information from transcripts to newspaper articles. It reveals the truth behind what happened to the girls used to make the transgenics, which really helps you get dragged into the story of dark angel,
it fills in gaps and tells you what you didn't know.Not only do i recommend this book i also highly recomend all 3 max allen collin books on dark angel as they are a fantastic read and i guarantee they will leave you hooked right to the end. And if you haven't seen the show, watch the show then buy the books.

As a fan you got to have it!

This book is really fantastic! Its not like a normal book, no story. It consists of dossiers: Sector 55 (the dissapearing of Margaret Curran), The Phoenix Project (Manticore), The Grand Coulee massacre (people died marching for justice), Devenport Genetics Institute (Freak Nation, Ames White).
By reading this book I found out a lot about the back rounds of the series. There are a lot of newspaper articles, secret letters and so on. Really a good book, if you want to find out more about the Seattle of the 2020`s!

The best book to find out more about the world of Dark Angel

I think this book is wonderful and I recomend it to everyone who likes Dark Angel. It's written by Logan Cale aka Eyes Only, there are collected articels, letters, photos and lots of more. It's devided in four files, wich contain everything about the topic, there is the problem with sector 55 (a not existing sector), about the Phoenix Project (Manticore), The Grand Coulee Massacer (45 people died by a demonstration) and all about the Davenport Genetics Institute (the secret of Ames White and Sandeman). So what more can I say, then it's a fantastic book, wich you just have to read to understand why the world of Dark Angel is like it is, and why things happen like they do!

With Dark Angel coming to an end it does not seem as if there will be many books going with the series. However this is a great book. You can read through evidence of mysteries never solved in the show and see for yourself exactly what eyes only must do to make the truth public. With facts, newspaper articles and transcripts this book may seem non-fiction but is can be read as a novel with different pieces of the puzzle fitting in when the evidence arrives. This gives more information about Manticore and the breeding cult as well as May 22nd from season one. It gives information on how the world was corrupted after the pulse and how the government was able to cover it up. You find out more about the eyes only informant net and how it works. Overall it is a great book and is a great read. Peace Out.
