The best of the best

This is the sequel to Ringworld. It is an absolute must to read. One of the best books I have read.
This is truly vintage Larry Niven and one of the reasons he's so popular.

Don't smile at a Kzin

Ringworld is just too Tanj big not to go back to! Louis Wu and Chmee (formerly Speaker to Animals) are kidnapped by the ousted Hindmost Pupateer to help it find some left over super technology which will put the Hindmost back in charge. Only trouble is not only does it not exist but Ringworld has developed a wobble and is about to crash into the sun, only little Wu and the wookie look-a-like can save trillions of inhabitants, but first they have to save themselves from the betrayed Hindmost and the Pak Protectors who built the Ringworld.

Good space opera stuff, let down by a weak plot that seems to leave the characters wandering around a lot.

Not quite as good as Ringworld

This is a very good book with plenty of ideas and a good plot, although its not quite as good as its predecessor.

An exellent book that deserves to be a bestseller

The Ringworld engineers is a fantastic book in evey sense of th word. The plot keeps you gripped to the edge of your seat, the characters are imaginative and well designed and the technical details of the Ringworld itself are impressive to eveyone who understands suspension bridges. Larry Niven, I congragulate you on your writing skills!
