A Magical Read
|
Young Thomas Trew lives quite an ordinary life - even though he's not quite an ordinary boy. All his life he's been able to see and hear things - and people - that no-one else can see or hear. Even his hardworking, harried, father, Gareth, thinks he's a little weird. But when Angelica Eyebright and Adverse Camber of the Hidden People, Middler Country,, Owlchurch Branch, pay Thomas and his father a visit, and Thomas discovers that he's a Rymer - able to travel between the Hidden and the Obvious Worlds - it's quite clear that from now on his life will be far from ordinary.
Thomas and Gareth are transported to the Hidden World in order to protect him from an evil that threatens to destroy both worlds - andThomas finds himself in the midst of the most marvellous adventure.
In this first in her Thomas Trew series, author Sophie Masson has woven yet another magical tale: one that's full of wonder, suspense and humour, and with a cast of the most intriguing characters. It's a tale that's sure to keep the young (and old!) reader completely spellbound - and eager to join Thomas in his next adventure!

A great read!

My son finds reading Harry Potter too dificult but enjoys these type of magical stories very much. Thomas Trew is pitched just right for the younger reader with enough excitment to keep them hooked (I didn't see him for hours at a time!)but aimed at younger readers he had no difficulty. Like all great books this is just one of a series so now we have to wait for 2007 to find out what happens next in Thomas' adventures. A lovely book with great illustrations, your child will get lost as they enter the 'Hidden world' we would very much reccomend it.
