This educational book is a great way to introduce kids into science and lerning. it is full of inteseting facts and questions to keep the busy for hours. This book is one of the best and easy to learn science books i have read and used in a long time

A useful tool in the teaching of KS3 Science

As one in a series of three textbooks each employing the same layout, I found the books easy to read. Pupils are given a two page layout on different parts of topics linked to the National Curriculum. In order to assess the pupils knowledge there is a question section accompanied by a remember box. The remember box acts as a summary for the pages. In addition to this, students are given a starter activity at the beginning of each unit, this allows teachers to assess the pupils prior knowledge & understanding. Whilst at the end of the unit, pupils are given either questions or an activity which encompasses the whole unit, thus cementing their knowledge, this is also accompanied by a larger remember box. In total I found this textbook to be extremely useful and good value. It is up to date, follows the National Curriclum guidlines and can be cross referenced with KS3 past papers. It would also appeal to the pupil, as it contains many illustrations and diagrams and varied activities. It is also worth noting that this can also be used in conjunction with a teachers resource pack which includes activities and further worksheets.
