Very good but a friend heps for the exercises.     
I am attending an improvers French class and we use the book for grammer and to start discussions. At school I hated French, but the course with an excellent teacher based around this book has been great fun and I have learned a lot (I am nearly 50 now and have changed my attitude). There are Idioms and real situations which help your French - as long as you as you speak it to soeone.
