Cadillac and Crazy Horse are Matt Scott's favourite horses. Cadillac, an ex-army horse, is a big beauty, but on the other hand, Crazy Horse is the worst-looking horse Kirstie's ever seen. However, one night when Kirstie can't sleep, she hears a disturbance in the meadow. Going down to see her palomino, Lucky, she sees the cause...horse rustlers. She runs for help but is too late to stop them. They've stolen Crazy Horse and Cadillac.
