Excellent, a must for first year university students

I have found this book excellent in giving straightforward guidance about approaching written assignments at university. What is expected of you at university level is quite different to 'A' level and this book has helped me bridge that gap and approach assignments with more confidence and aptitude.

Comprehensive and useable book

Writing at University, is a straightforward guide to all university writing skills. It is very usable and contains exercises that encourage you to develop your own style rather than rely on a set format. It is written in plain english and makes a readable alternative to many of the guides available for assignment writing. The author's seem to be in touch with student's actual requirements, the section on writer's block was particularly helpful.
