User-friendly introduction

Within this remarkably compact textbook, Holdsworth presents a coherent and accessible outline of issues that need to be covered in a first-year Old Testament Introduction course. Particularly attractive in my own teaching environment (ministry formation) is the way in which questions about the significance of the Old Testament for contemporary life and faith are judiciously introduced. I look forward to using this book in class over the next academic year.
