A Summer in the Country

Just like another reader I too took this book on holiday looking forward to a good read. It is really annoying when you find out that a book has already been published under a different title and that you have already read it. The previously published title is in very small print on one of the inside pages, not something you would see unless you were looking hard. I shall think twice before buying another Marcia Willet book

I just finished this book! It was superb!! The characters were so believable! I didn't want to put it down! There aren't very many authors who can make you care about their characters so completely, but Marcia Willett is a master! This is the second book I've read by this author, and I'm hooked!! The cover says Rosemunde Pilcher fans will enjoy it, and they were right!! Can't wait to read more!!

Summer in the country/Forgotten Laufgter

I'm sure this is an excellent book, however it is ( except for it's cover and Title) exactly the same Book as Forgotten Laughter!! which was a great disapointment as I was saving it to have a good read over the Easter Holiday!I'm sure I'm not the first person to be disapointed like this( as it definatly states under its details on the web-site that people who bought it also shopped for Forgotten Laughter)This is the second time this has happened to me ( Katie Ffordes 'Thyme out' and 'Second Thyme Around')Why do Americans have to retitle our books? Forgotten Laughter is actually a much more apt title for the story that unfolds in this book!
