A man's man's book
|

Mr A-Team as a novelist. Does that work? You bet. First of all the background of the story is realistic about how major corporations are involved in money laundering schemes and how all this is hushed up. Shane Scully is a man's man and embarks on an adventure that is nail bitingly exciting, original and also very realistic. The book takes unexpected turns and due to the unpredictability of the antagonists you never know what is going to happen or just what will happen to Shane. I'm not going to tell more about the story just that it is very, very good.

Walk the walk...

Cannell's Shane Scully series is shaping up as a one of the best portrayals of the LAPD and crime in the city of Angels, ranking alongside old masters like Wambaugh. Lean, hard and ruthlessly gripping, this is popular crime writing at its best.
