Please Don't Do it     
If you want to starve your body and put more weight back on after you've finished as your body has gone into famine mode. If you want to have bad breath and bad wind feel terrible and at worse actually damage yourself - go ahead. Another quick loss - no solution book. DON'T DO IT!
Helpful tips and some recipes     
I was given this book Xmas 2001, I have used the cabbage soup diet 3 times before but this book gives some extras that improve the week. It allows you 8fl oz of skimmed milk (which seriously improves tea and coffee!) or yoghurt per day and does not seem to have a detrimental effect. Ms Danbrot also has some recipes to spice up the soup and some good fitness tips. I recommend the book but the diet even more.
BRILLIANT DIET - BUT TRY THE RECIPE BOOK     
I USE THE CABBAGE SOUP DIET WHENEVER I WANT TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS - IT'S ABSOLUTELY FOOLPROOF. BUT THE MOST DIFFICULT THING IS KEEPING UP YOU INTEREST. THERE'S A BOOK CALLED THE CABBAGE SOUP DIET RECIPE BOOK WHICH GIVES YOU LOADS OF RECIPES YOU CAN USE WITH THE DIET, AND THEY'RE ALL REALLY TASTY. I EVEN USE SOME OF THE RECIPES WHEN I'M NOT ON THE DIET!
Does Work but the Soup tastes Foul     
I only follwed the plan for 4 days and lost 5lbs in 3 days.

However I have say the cabbage soup tastes foul - even with added spices. For this reason I could not have lasted any longer !

This diet works     
I lost about 6 pounds on this diet on the first week even though I cheated on 2 occasions (had a cake and a chocolate bar on the 1st and 4th days). I also found drinking coffee with skimmed milk and artificial sweetener on the 6th day killed off any weight loss for that day. I don't know what was to blame, the coffee, milk, or the sweetener. Anyway I'm never drinking coffee on this diet again.

I didn't know I could lose so much weight in one week. I'm a 31 yr old male weighting 218 pounds on a 6ft 1inch frame. I've tried unsuccessfully in the past to lose some weight on other diets including the ATKINS diet. I will follow this diet one week on and 1 - 2 weeks off until I get to the weight I'm happy with. I hope to maintain my weight in between this diet by using the ATKINS low-carb diet (which has been very good for maintaining for me). Take note that after using this diet if you go back to your normal high-carb diet you may well put the weight back on again, even when eating moderately! To keep the weight off, eat low-carb.
