With so many books on rap music applying innapropriate and tedious cod-sociology to the subject, it's refreshing to see the writers of this book using the (seemingly forgotten) old school hip hop ethos of fun and creativity. Ego Trip's... writers manage to make the book funny as well as informative. Anyway, who wants to know why hip hop "happened" when they can find out which rapper has the worst teeth?
