Three great books in one!

I ordered this book expecting it to be something new, but instead found that it is a compilation of three of AP's previous books : "The Horizontal Epistles of Andromeda Veal", "The Theatrical Tapes of Leonard Thynn", and "The Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass, Christian Speaker, aged 45 3/4".

These are each excellent, very funny books which, to my mind at least, capture the essence of the kind of bizarre mishaps and complications that could well be experienced by young-ish Christians living in this modern world.

Have read these books so many times over the last ten or so years, but I'm still laughing...

Go and buy this once you've read the original : "Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass, aged 37 1/2". If you have a sense of humour you won't regret it.

Meeting Adrian et al

I found this book funny, insightful and, last-but-not-least, reassuring. The characters are realistically human, with all the quirks, faults and failings that we recognise in ourselves and others, and the insights that Andromeda, Leonard and Adrian share with the reader serve to highlight the often hilarious difference between 'ideal' and 'actual'. This all makes it sound quite an ordinary book - which it most definitely is not. I laughed out loud and neglected my responsibilities whenever possible because I couldn't bear to put it down.
