Good but I bet it's even better in Swedish

My only wish is that I could read it in the original Swedish as the only flaws in this book were the occasional translation errors. All in all though, a superb read. I was up till 3am finishing it last night and have recommended it to all my friends. I'm looking forward to the remaining books in the trilogy and will definitely be adding them to my Xmas/birthday present wishlist.

Really enjoyable

I was so surprised to pick up a novel by an author I hadn't heard of and so enjoy it. It has been a while since I have genuinely from the first page not wanted to put it down. The characters are interesting and the story-telling just makes you want to turn that page! Great book!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Couldn't put it down....excellent book. Can't wait for the further two in the trilogy to come out in paperback. Sad that the author died before the books were published. So we only get these three....savour them :o)

Jolly good read!

This is a very exciting story that is very well told indeed. It is very modern with modern moral dilemmas, very subtle and well integrated plot twists, and above all well written. It captures Sweden in the winter and summer. It captures the modern world of shady International business deals, and the characterisations are simply brilliant, with perhaps one exception, the character of the arch villain is too uninvolved. Yet perhaps he is a sideshow to the plot and yet more could have been made of this. However it must be said in context of the whole book this is a minor criticism. The pace, the well researched story, and the attention to the finest detail is very well told indeed. The author must indeed have been a very knowledgable and talented person to write such a book. I thoroughly recommend this book. It is indeed a Jolly good read!

You will not be able to put it down
|
I am swedish so admittedly have an advantage having read this book in its original language but I think it is a brilliant read. Fast paced, with edgy characters and a story where you never suspect what will happen next makes this a book that is impossible to put down until its finished.
Some reviewers have complained about the translation which I cant comment on but what I can say is dont let that put you off as you would be really missing out. Regardless of language or writing style the story is so captivating and is that not what reading is really about?
