A really lovely book.

I too was too young to remember this wedding but was fascinated by this little book. It gives you lots of background into the fabulous bridal gown, right down to the sketches of it throughout the design process, they are almost blueprints! Lots of facts that make you smile too. It may have been a "Royal" wedding, but like the rest of us mere mortals on such occasions it is comforting to know that Royalty too makes economies by buying bridesmaids accessories from chain stores. This book also personalises the bridesmaids and almost makes you feel as if you might have been there. Makes you a bit sad too that the fabulous gown is in such a bad way, let's hope it can be preserved for many years to come. I for one would love to stand and gaze at it for a while and imagine what it would have been like to catch a glimpse of that legendary fairytale bride.

Grace Kelly married her prince long before I was born, but I was caught up in the 'fairytale' nature of the wedding from an early age and have been fascinated by Grace Kelly ever since. This book is lovely if you are a fan and is devoted almost entirely to their wedding. There is a lot written about the making of the wedding and bridesmaids' dresses and detailed drawings and photographs. I have enjoyed looking at and reading this book so much.
