An Ice Water Read

This is a four-star book because of Lynne Coxs' precious attitude regarding life. The book is just plain remembrances of her pure joy of swimming. Beyond that she articulates her deep passion for people and her belief that what brings her such pleasure can be a bridge to understanding and peace. On a more mundane level the sections dealing with her phenomenal ability to survive frigid water was fascinating. Lynne has written more than a woman athlete's memoir, she has, without guile, written of her own pursuit to make a difference.
