Old dog, new tricks?
|
As a Macintosh user of some years standing (got my first one shortly after the launch in 1984!) with an interest in photography that goes back even further, I approached this book with some trepidation... just what could it tell me that I didn't already know?
The honest answer is relatively little... but what it did do was serve to remind me how much I had forgotten!
This is a well written and very well researched book, as such it should prove useful to all Mac users, photographers or not.
If you are new to the Macintosh, this book provides a wealth of information that could only be accumulated through years of experience... buy it and save yourself a lifetime of research... if you are an old hand like me, buy it anyway... much of that stuff you already knew, but had squirreled away in the back of your mind is exposed here!

This book is saving me hours.

I though I knew my way around my three Macs, having been a Mac user for 15 years. Just an evening reading some of the key chapters in this well laid out book saved me an hour the following day and has made my photography business more streamlined and efficient. For a book about an operating system it is written in straight forward language with wit and style, well illustrated and concise. It now sits on the desk, next to my Mac as a reference point that I dip into daily. I sincerely think it will save me about 3 hours a week! Toby Savage, Photographer, Leicester.
