Although some of it is a bit dated, a lot of the verse is timeless. MInds which enjoy cryptic puzzles and humour will enjoy. The enjoyment is a fairly cerebral one - but very funny - and, unusual these days - affirmative, positive and kind.

From the ditties about animals that my children like so much to the shrewdly observed tidbits of social commmentary, this book of verse is: FUN. This one is a family favourite. Nash's wonderful use/abuse of language and his sideways perspective make his pieces appealing and memorable -- bits of Nash infiltrate dinner conversation. Good for giggles. Irresistable to read aloud. I keep buying copies for friends...
