Excellent book well researched.

This is an excellent annotated edition of the Gospel of Thomas. Stevan Davies has embraced the work and the Gnostic tradition which the Gospel borders upon. Presenting a Gospel which encourages the reader to continue to seek the Kingdom of God in the present and to experience it in an almost constant prayer-like state. His comments on Thomas's view of the second creation were informative and referential back to the text.
Without the aid of Stevan's comments the Gospel is difficult to comprehend, however his knowledge and understanding of the context which the book is written makes it worthwhile and enjoyable.
This book has come to live almost permanently on my desk as I continue to reread and feast upon it further.
