This book is an utter and complete joke

No Use at all - just copies the points from the sylabbus, the chemistry version of this is amazing, you can actually keep that as a main source of revision and leave everything else...this book just makes me sick, waste of money, nothing in the book besides 1996 exam questions, which are not even needed NOW!

Never buy it!

If this book doesn't make you panic, nothing will.

Out of date exam questions (lots from 1996 - don't they know the specification last changed in 2003?!?). Just a list of things you ought to know, plus 'test your knowledge' section which sometimes asks things not in the specification (duh!). If this book doesn't make you panic, nothing will.

Waste of paper

If you really want a copy of the specification and some test questions go to the edexcel website and download them for free. I bought this book after enjoying the Chemistry one in the series (which by the way is brilliant) and was bitterly disappointed by this waste of paper.

If you are the publishers reading this, get it rewritten and think of the poor student who takes a revision guide on holiday with them two weeks before their exam, only to find the blasted thing contains no information - just a list of things I ought to know. Grrrrr.

great for last minute revision

like the title says this book is great for last minute revision. learn all the answers and questions at the back and you can't go wrong. obviously you cant just use this book, you need the other detailed info books as well. use this book when your practicing exam qustions at the end of your revision (2 weeks before exam). but DO NOT LEAVE YOUR REVISION TO THE LAST MINUTE COS YOU WILL FAIL.

Horrible

My biology teacher recommended we get this book as a suppliment to the Edexcel-specific NAS textbooks. I regret listening to him.

I couldn't help but feel that the book is basically copying the syllabus (only the titles of the topics!) and presenting them in the form of checklists. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of 1 is because it has a few, and I mean a FEW, questions with solutions which was somewhat helpful.
