Brilliant book

I love this book. It's not just for kids, it appeals to Kylie fans of all ages. The only problem I have with it is that the book signing was for under-14s only. This is clear discrimination. Race and sex discrimination are not tolerated yet it seems that age discrimination is acceptable but it's just as upsetting for those affected.

The Showgirl Princess

Don't forget in what period of her life Kylie wrote "The Showgirl Princess". By this book she wanted to say "Thank you" to her parents, friends and fans.

A waste of trees!

This book is basically a story about Kylie Minogue. Whether it is auto-biographical or fictitious is unclear. However, it is VERY badly written and does nothing except promote Ms Minogue (as if she even needs that). I would want all little girls to expect more from their lives than this putrid aspiration to be a "pop princess". If we want a message for our children surely it should be to walk their own path not to follow in someone else's shoes? The level of language is appalling, most 6 year olds could do better. If KM wasn't already famous no publisher would have wasted time and money on this tripe. There's a wealth of well written children's book on the market without anyone needing to resort to this one.

A treat for all. With Glam and a touch of sparkle*

Now I have to say I am a big Kylie fan. This book is so much fun. It's a simple read for young ages. But the thing about this book is the colour and design. It is full of colourful illustrations as well as pictures of the showgirl princess herself. The main colour of this book is pink. I love the pictures of Kylie in new outfits and some of the showgirl pictures. I would recommend this book to any Kylie fan or two a young female wannabe or fan of the queen of pop.

Horrible, horrible, horrible

Have just seen the first copies of this arrive in the bookshop where I work this afternoon and was horrified by the general story. It's basically a story about a Princess (called Kylie!) who is a singer but loses her special shoes. All the pictures are photos of Kylie in different poses and, I'm sorry, but to me it just seems like one big ego trip.
Don't expect to enjoy this if you're over the age of about four.
