The family has two gerbils but their mum will do anything to get rid of them! The gerbils face all kinds of dangers, even nearly getting eaten by a cat! The book is sometimes scary, like when Sid is alone in the forest at night. But we also liked the funny ending. The main character Sid is quiet but determined to keep his gerbils safe. We thought this book was extremely interesting and exciting. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always exciting! We thoroughly recommend that you read this book. Centipede class (year 3/4)
