One of my favourite war-time books! I really enjoyed it and it was absolutely brilliant. Front cover also really good, it describes and sets the scene.

One small suitcase - A great read!!!!
|
One small suitcase is a great book telling the story through many childrens eyes about the Kindertransport. This was an organisation that helped children to escape from Nazi Germany and it brought them to a much safer England. Each chapter explains different parts of an evacuees new life e.g why they had to leave Germany, how they found England, what their foster families were like and what happened to them after the war. I would recommend this book for any child over 11. It does not only provide a good read but also educates the reader about Engalnd and Germany in WW2.
