A Healers Way of Knowledge!

At first glance this book takes you on a magickal mystery tour endured by a young woman, set on finding the truth about the Shammans and Witches (Wise Woman), said to exist in the Hills and Villages of Venezuela. The story soon settles to an engrossing pace that carries the reader further and further into a culture steeped in traditional values, beliefs, medicine and withcraft. A feminine alternative to Carlos Castaneda's works, yet equally enjoyable. A must for any wiccan's bookcase!

Each chapter of this book takes you to one of the "lessons" Florinda was exposed to under the witch's tutelage. It's amazing that some of those lessons were just stories, not actual experiences lived by Florinda but by somebody else who tells her the story. In that sense, just reading it is like having the same input she had, taking the same lesson up to some extent, and that reading put me into deep philosophical and meditational mood. Really interesting and really deep for me.
