Loved it!

I found this to be one of those books that grabs you from the start. I read it very quickly, simply because I couldn't put it down. (I look forward to reading Alma Moore's follow up) I laughed out loud at Ray's tales of his precarious journey towards fulfilling his childhood dreams of working for the BBC. Interestingly for me, I discoverd that he and I had trodden very similar paths - geographically speaking. He lived for a while in Sussex Gardens - so did I. He speaks of visiting the Langham Hotel - which is where I worked. He worked at the Aston Studios in Birmingham, which I visited often, to watch the recording of TV shows.
It was most interesting to discover just how hard, in an inebriating sort of way, life can be, working in the media.;-)
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone.
Also, a much missed familiar voice.
