I just read this book on holiday. It's OK but not as good as I was expecting. Its the first Ian Stafford book I've read and was a bit disappointed really. The book covers Stafford's quest to meet and challenge Schumacher from a rather contrived opening to an ultimately brief and not very exciting conclusion. You never really have the impression that a challenge is actually going to take place and when he meets him its all over in a few pages. In between however Stafford meets a number of racing legends, past and present, from a variety of disciplines - Coulthard, Moss, Button, Lauda, Mansell, Kenny Brack, Markko Martin. These sections are very very interesting and the books worth reading for these. There are particularly good anecdotes from Moss and Lauda. Overall it would probably have made a better book as a critique of what makes a racing driver.
