A story of great tenderness and understanding but also a damn fine read. You'll laugh and cry. If you like horses you'll love this book. Like the other reviewer, I read it all in one night too as I couldnt put it down. Highly recommended.

For anyone who has ever wondered what it would be like to follow their dreams this book is so inspirational! Anyone with even the slightest interest in horses will find something to love in this book. Adam and Nicole have made mistakes like the rest of us and are the first to admit that even now they don't have all the answers. But by reading about their experiences, good and bad, it gives you the belief that we can all start now to make the world a better place for the horse....and us!

The book was written by two people that knew there was a better way of dealing with horses problems than the 'tradional way' of whips, spurs and ropes. Chapters follow Adam and Nicole's lives from Adams throw-away comment in a field, to their moving to a farm in the Cotswolds to live their dream and beyond. This book isnt one that will tell you how to do join up, or how to stop a horse from napping but it is truely a wonderful and inspiring read. I'm just getting into the whole 'natural horsemanship' area and its nice to know that the dream can be acheived. A must for all horse minded people.

I read this from cover to cover in one night. Funny, sad and enlightening. It provides a human and very English side to the Monty Roberts effect as the authors discover, through their own experiences, that there is a more humane alternative to traditional horsemanship, and it works better as well.
