Wow!! This book has totally altered the way I think about life. I know that we all have a story to tell, and sometimes, things just seem so hard, and you feel like you have it worse than anyone else. May be you do, but reading this book just totally turns you around. It offers so much. It restores your faith in other people, trite I know, but it really does. It gives you courage and strength to carry on, even when things seem SO bad. I found it to be totally life-affirming, completely inspiring, and very comforting. I cried so many times during the book, so moved by the stories. I had heard about this book, and dismissed it as being over-emotional without ever reading it. I am so glad that I put my prejudice behind me, and finally read it. It is hard to do it justice by writing about it, it really should be read, savoured, and kept for those times when everything just gets us down. It is what it says, it's chicken soup for the soul, and it makes you feel better. Wonderful!!

More like Cabbage Soup

This soup could have been delicious. Good idea, good stories, but the short chapters are written almost entirely in the simple past, with short sentences and Mills and Boon type descriptions such as "when I looked up his big blue eyes were moist". Yukk. Great for beginner English language students or people who are not used to reading but I found the way the book was written a real turn-off.

WAITOOORRRR! I bought this soup, and got a little nauseaus already after the first chapter. This is a book that is way too creamy for my taste! Feels like i have eaten way too much chockolate, marzipan, chockolatecake, creamcake, pai, etc:)
Some of the stories is nice! But, i cant help but feel that "construckted"-feel.. Or at least, lets show just the pink colours of the rainbow-feel..:D Well, thats maybe the intention of the book, i dont know..
