Very informative if you want to know their uses but as for identifying different plants, just forget this book.

Earl Mindell's writings are extremely clear and engaging. He presents facts in the least 'dry' way imaginable. He writes about the power of nutrition and plant remedies in a most engaging and easily assimilable fashion - without sacrificing factual detail. His approach is very similar, particularly on the nutritional side, to Jean Carper, who also amasses a wealth of experimental evidence, and presents it in terms that the layman understands - they are both very good at the art and craft of writing itself, as well as being writers about science
