I have used this book in replacement of my organic chemistry class book. It's much more clear and easy to learn. However, it would be nice if the book and answer book was not so expensive but it's worth to me.

Not necessary--go find a good, cheap copy of the 2nd edition

I've used the 2nd edition for a semester now and am continuing
to use it. I've found that it is more than adequate, and I feel
that the 3rd edition really wouldn't help me to learn Organic
Chemistry any better. The two texts are so similar that one can
find a vast majority of the same homework problems in both
editions, although it is a bit laborious. For the difference in cost,
I'd say the effort is certainly worth it.
