Really useful

I'm an intermediate student, forever making mistakes and only knowing some of the rules & guidelines of Spanish.

This book, along with the CD is proving to be a great help.
Not every chapter will be useful to every student, so it might not be appropriate to start at page 1 and work throuhg to the end.

For example, a common error is getting the wrong gender for nouns (el or la). We all learn very early on that nouns ending in o are masculine, and those in a are feminine. But there are many other really helpful guidelines, all explained in the book.

AND it comes with a CD. The first task is a comprehensive test, your answers are marked and you are guided as to what topics you need to brush up on.

A word of warning, most language books are only suitable for the time at which you are trying to learn what the book has to offer - the same is true of this book. Beginners will struggle I think, advanced students may find it too easy. For me, it's definately one of the best buys I've made ( and I've made quite a few)

Excellent book but exactly the same as Repaso

This is a brilliant book which reviews grammar, has plenty of exercises and also offers cultural advice. For the price it is excellent value for money and I would recommend it to anyone studying Spanish at GCSE or higher level. Due to the fact that the book is so modestly priced I am breaking the rule of a lifetime and actually writing the answers in the book, something which I have found means that I am getting through this book a lot quicker than usual, which is no bad thing! - So why the measly four star rating? This is due to the fact that it uses the same material as "Repaso" which is another excellent book - but you don't need two copies!
