A great series

HI there, I too almost bought this one thinking it was new so I'm grateful to the writer of the first review for the warning.
I really enjoyed these books though, there are four out at the moment (spook's apprentice, curse, secret and battle) and I was trawling for another.
My daughter (11) has dyslexia but she has persevered with these because she has enjoyed them so much. Good characters that you grow to love and plots that are just scary enough with out sending her over the edge! We can't wait for the next one.

I almost bought this book. Thanks to the previous review, I checked this out by doing a web search on the title. It is just another title for Book 1 - The Spooks Apprentice. There are other books here in this series like this, which are differently titled. SO BE WARNED! If you don't have any of these books yet, Great! It is an amazing story, quite dark for a children's book, and is an amazing read. Joseph Delany is a great author, and I thoroughly recommend this series.

Dont be fooled into buying this book if you already own THE SPOOKS APPRENTICE. I thought that it was book number three of the series. It is in fact an Americanised version of THE SPOOKS APPRENTICE. It is however a good book and an interesting read.
