The only outstanding thing about the book is the great photographs. For a Morrison/Doors fan reason enough to buy the book. But if you really want to know something about the person of Jim Morrison, and the days he lived in, then you musn't buy this book. It is too shallow. It reads like a newspaper article. So if this is not your first Morrison biography, don't buy it. Need to write an article for the school gazette? Get it! They'll love it!

Another Doors/Morrison book !

This is one book amongst a deluge of them on the subject of Morrison & the Doors. No matter, this is a no nonsense title which is pretty informative & a good starting point along with 'No One Here Gets Out Alive'. A plus point for this though, is the inclusion of a fair few decent pictures. A quite old title, it has to be said, but one well worth hunting out & certainly a lot better than many recent books written by people who claim to have shaken the hand of Morrison's 17th cousin !
