I have just a few weeks to pick up some Spanish, and have bought a CD method (Language Now), and a grammar (Complete Spanish Grammar, Nissenberg). I wanted to complete the package with a dictionary I could carry in a handbag, despite some scepticism about the usefulness of such tiny things. I have been very pleasantly surprised by this Collins version - little dictionaries have made some progress in recent years evidently. This is everything that the product description says, with much much more than just word-for-word translations, and includes elements of much larger dictionaries: words in context, warnings about false friends, and longer entries for what they call 'keywords' (palavras claves!) Plus the helpful supplements the PD mentions. Yes, definitely an excellent choice for my needs.
