As a teacher, I fully support Penny's sound and common sense advice. Teaching children manners, respect and social skills will also develop their skills as learners and consequently can only improve their academic achievements. Her book is a great and lively read and full of ideas to help parents faced with the trials and tribulations of bringing up children. I would recommend this book to all parents who want their children to realise their full potential academically as well as growing to be responsible and caring members of society.

Common sense guide to how to rear polite children

During parenthood I think we all have doubts as to whether what we are doing is the right thing and whether the long-term effects of our parenting method will produce children and young adults who we can be proud of. This book is easy to read and is full of common sense, which we may have overlooked during turbulent moments of parenting. For those in doubt or simply curious I would recommend this read.

A new bible for responsible parents..

A very readable, well written account of children and how they act, how you want them to act and how to go about making the two match up. Author Penny Palmano has three children of her own, all in their late teens and while she isn't claiming to be an expert, she certainly has some extremely practical advice that parents everywhere will identify with. Destined to become a parenting bible.

Much more than a book about manners, 'Yes Please. Thanks! ' is chock full of sensible suggestions and clever ways to reduce toddler and teenage tantrums. Full of humour, its readable too. I wish it had been around years ago, when my four children were small."

Yes, please. Thanks! Is an invaluable asset for every parent - new and existing. It's a much needed reminder on how to ensure your children grow-up with manners and good behaviour. It's an accessible and straight-forward guide and includes practical examples with solutions to problems we all face in our daily lives as parents.
