WHAT A GREAT READ!!!
|
What can i say what a great book. I was first told about this book by a girl at work she said it was great and that i should read it. I was a bit dubious as i have never been one for reading, but i got it and i don't regret it one bit.
Torey Hayden and her pupils are inspiring she writes the book in a way that grips you and pulls you right into the book.
I have since read 4 other Torey Hayden books and loved them just as much.

Awful

This is a truly horrible book. The prose is plodding and the story very predictable. If you have read one "inspirational" novel you have read them all. The best bit were the quotes from "The Little Prince" and even they are ridden to death. If you read because you love the English language give this a miss, the language is extremely repetitive. I would never have read this on my own initiative but my reading group voted for this.

Love it!!

This is my favourite book - such a touching story of the relationship between a young troubled girl and her teacher. It really made my heart fill up with emotion and I was crying by the end! Reading this book is what really inspired a passion in me to learn psychology and this may seem a little childish, but my dream career is what Torey Hayden does!!

Fantasic!

Her honest, warts and all attitude makes you laugh, cry and cringe. I have lent this book to a friend and have just found out it is now making its way round the teachers of the local primary school! This is one of her best books but id recommend Beautiful Child too.
