Although this dictionary is undoubtedly a great lexicographical achievement, a combination of occasional oversight on the part of the authors and the 1995 publication date are starting to take their toll. The dictionary lacks many basic terms frequently encountered on the Internet, for example. Until a revised edition is available, this dictionary is one to be used alongside the more up-to-date 5th edition of the standard Collins-Robert and other resources.
