Collins books are real gems
|
In my humble opinion, there is only one decent maker of dictionaries, and that is Collins. I have tried other ones, but they are just not so straightforwards.
I have a learning disability, and have found that these dictionaries explain things simply and clearly, but give enough detail and don't ever make you feel small like some. They also use both the most common words and some more obscure words (but nothing too unusual, as they make all of their dictionaries as concise as possible).
This dictionary will also fit in your pocket (I was that strange child who took this dictionary to school), and is superb value for money. If that's not enough for you, it's also virtually indestructable.
Inter oves lacuum praesta, as they say. If you don't know what that means, you NEED this dictionary.
