Absolutely excellent

I used this book for my Economics A Level, and it's very, very good. You don't need a degree in maths to understand it either. Economic principles are explained in clear english with good examples to show exactly how they work. Everybody should make an effort to understand basic economics, otherwise how can you protest against or support government policy? This book makes a difficult subject relevant and interesting. It's worth reading and dipping into whether you're a student or not.

A good textbook, which I used for my IB. The diagrams are concise, the explanations full etc. Only bad thing is the glossary, which could be a bit more advanced. Great for use with some economics dictionary.

An easy to understand, must have, for economic students.

I read this guide as an introduction to economics, which is a vital part of my degree. I was so amazed at it's indepth look at economics, in a fresh and easy to understand manner, that I have not let it go! It has many case studies which not only show how and why economics is relavant to todays business, but can be used to ensure a good grade at A'level and degree. After each chunk of leaning, you'll find a case study, vital key points and the all important exam preperation questions. I'd definately recommend it for A'level economics and Degree Level business studies.

A poor textbook

As a high school student I used this book and at the time I thought it was bad. Going on to study economics at University level has only served to strengthen my opinion. It presents only the conclusions of economic theory with few logical constructions to explain how these have been reached. What I learned from this textbook served as a hinderance rather than a help when I first started at University.
