Fun, innovative and entertaining

Although this book carries a not suitable for under 3's warning, my 18 month old loves this book. The warning is because there are loads of cardboard cut out pictures that dangle on pieces of ribbon and, in theory, a child could choke on them. With supervision though this shouldn't be a concern. All the cardboard cut outs are integral to the story of Bloomer - a dog - and you get to wash him with a sponge, brush his fur, dry him with a hairdryer, put him in his bed, throw his ball and so on. It's great for building imaginative play and making fun sounds. The only reason I didn't give this 5*s is because, after a lot of use, the cardboard shapes, especially Bloomer himself, get a bit bent as they get pulled on and off the velcro backing.
